Languages are very important to me, especially French. Learning another language gives you a window into another culture and way of knowing. It is important for students to be exposed to different culutres and ways of knowing and doing. As well, learning a second language fosters empathy within people for other people and for other cultures. I specifically feel that French is an important language for our students as it is the second official language of our country. Learning French offers students opportunities later in life that can further their careers and help them reach new heights.
